Yes, I understand your thoughts. Probably how they emerge from wind tunnel testing.
It seems that going mid-engine, produces body designs which are very similar to every other mid-engine car. Perhaps not so much flexibility to create the different shapes, which become possible with a front engine car.

Styling even worse with an SUV, where the starting point is one big rectangular box, with a smaller rectangular box on the front.
Look-alikes en masse.
