It's got a manual gearbox which will be enough for some and I don't think they're going for big numbers of sales (although I may have missed that)
yep and lightweight, lighter then the A110 I believe, ah yes, the Vertige weighs 850kg and a A110 around 1100kgalso the doors and so on and it stays rare I guess (those Vertige) it can be a great combo, also Wells keeps an open mind for people who want more hp, but he thinks you won't need it because of the specs, but hey.
Sadly our corrupt Dutch Government put very high taxes on petrol cars on a Co2/gr/km base and their base engine is not that friendly for a land like us and soon more countries will get such system as Evil demands from their peasants.

That guide price for the speed 12 is quite something. Hope Graham makes a profit after all the money he has sunk into that car.

Well, its debatable whether it really is road legal. Normally 3 year old cars require an MOT and it is over that age now with no MOT but it seems you can declare the car MOT exempt. As it is a self declaration made at the time of buying tax there are no checks by DVLA. Wonder how much the only road legal Griffith is going to be worth in 25 years
The get-out clause is on the reverse of Form V112 section M - Special Types or Vehicle Special Order. To meet the criteria all you need say is the car is being used for test purposes or demonstration. So if it was stopped by the police the driver only needs to say it is on test. Driving up and down the country putting miles on it to prove its reliability is one thing. Whether they accept that driving to and from car shows is really testing is another.
@phased
The 560 SEC is the top of the tree. The achilles heal on all is that the rear windscreen delaminates, and unseen rust runs along the rear parcel shelf.
There is a chap on the Wirral who fixes them, top notch too l’m told.

Cheaper insurance and generally a discount on Merc parts.
Lots of members with these cars.

Sounds interesting. Thank you for that.
Coincidentally, there was an article that came up on my Google feed regarding the Mercedes W124 saloon. How underrated they are and that they are the next big thing to increase in value. They also did a W124 coupe which was extremely similar to the W126. More advanced in technology, but hasn’t got the panache of the W126.
We’ve talked about vegetables, now let’s talk about the weather which is absolutely rubbish isn’t it. Where is this global warming?
That’s me done!
