I'm waiting for Jan next year to see if it passes it's 1st MOT and how many miles it has on the clock
It should have had its 2nd MOT in January given that it is 5 years old (yes I know, registered in Jan 2020).Anyway Edgar says they have been doing extensive testing in all weathers. But then he has said a lot of things......
Wonder if there are any takers for this old TVR?

I heard it was up for sale.
He has only done 3K miles on it since I sold it.
I believe he has two other TVR’s so has had his fun with this one.
Not tempted to buy it back as I’ve been there, seen it and done it. Happy with the Boxster for what I use it for and to be honest, it gives me more of a buzz on track which I would never have thought that I would say.
This is a very quick TVR and who ever buys it will have great fun using up the planets reserves!

Richard. Precat, MPoxan and I have booked Snetterton for the 4th of August.
Precat will be in Ian Rose’s Griff and hopefully Mathew will have his griff completed by then.
It will be good to see you there. On track or just for a chinwag.
Awesome.. it's a Thursday I see.... Are any of you intending an overnight stay?Precat will be in Ian Rose’s Griff and hopefully Mathew will have his griff completed by then.

I have driven his 5.5 and passengered in the Boxster, both on track.
I suspect the answer may be that the Chimaera was so well set up and so powerful that it was no great effort to be quick.
The Boxster, with 100 less BHP, needs to be driven to get the best out of it, but it is helped in this by its great chassis and handling.
Phazed drove me around the Surrey Hills in it - I couldn't believe how well it cornered. The grip and balance was stunning.
Ditto around Cadwell Park.

As much as I loved doing Track Days, Sprints and drag race days in my chimaera, That was then and now it’s now
I gave up the TVR due to health reasons at the time and bought the Boxster for an easy life. The car is brilliant on the road and having done Cadwell Park, Castle Combe and Cadwell Park again I absolutely love it on track. You sit down low in the car and instantly feel at one with it. The suspension, (switchable) copes with everything, the huge brakes stop it on a sixpence, the handling is pin sharp and best of all the howl from the screaming flat six is as brilliant as it is addictive .
Given all the above it really does put a smile on my face when I use it on the track. At Cadwell Park last week, (TVRCC track day) it romped around the track passing all cars in front, Just brilliant.
Saying all that, I really loved my 5.5. The fastest na car on the quarter-mile drag table. It was really great.

With the factory lease signing due soon, I seem to recall someone wondered why TVR were not recruiting employees.
Perhaps they might have decided to adopt the now standard, modern assembly system. Much more up to date than the iStream hand assembly.
No employees required. Les Edgar would just walk round the factory, looking for any slacking orange workers.
