New TVR still under wraps! (Vol. 3)

If he could find a magic way of making them and if people still wanted them and if a lot of things; would this news of AM and other small volume manufacturers being exempt from net zero be a massive boost to them?
It was (don't call me Sir) Starmer, who announced that car manufacturers who sell fewer than 2,500 vehicles annually, including Aston Martin and McLaren, will be exempt from the compulsory requirement to make EVs.
Aston Martin (who produce far more than 2,500 cars annually) must be delighted.
What happens when (don't call me Sir) Starmer is told by one of his government 'experts', that there has been a most unfortunate discovery, that 2,500 has to be the fixed limit to comply with something called Net Zero. Will anyone have the courage to tell AML that the government are so determined to make everyone use a battery car, that they had not bothered to research Aston Martin's business?
Probably not, just break yet another promise and issue huge fines to raise more money to spend..

Plus the bond issue is due in full in 3 weeks time.
They will only have to repay the amount they actually sold and I guess that wasn't really a lot. and they had to pay quarterly throughout the 5 years (only seems like yesterday) and as you say repay the amount sold but not forgetting they have very little income by comparison.
Just took a look at the TVR website:
"Resisting the urge to rush a new car to the market, TVR, and their partners, have worked quietly, but tirelessly, to bring the new launch edition TVR, code named T37, to be revealed to the world at the Goodwood Revival in 2017."
Nobody can accuse them of "rushing" This looks like it may have been written prior to the reveal at GWR in 2017. You'd think that one of the people living off the interest from the deposits would update the website to maintain the illusion that TVR were still a functioning company with a plan.

Thx Viper, I was not really away and they had to pay quarterly throughout the 5 years (only seems like yesterday) and as you say repay the amount sold but not forgetting they have very little income by comparison.
Been following this thread all the time. Crazy, my son, who went with me to the depositors-reveal at age 11 (and was allowed to pull the cover), has turned 20 today ! Hi, I know I’m opening myself up to plenty of probably justified abuse for not having done this sooner, but…
Emailed TVR to cancel my deposit in early Dec 2024. Was told it would take 4-6 weeks to receive the £5K refund. Since then… precisely nothing, despite many chase emails to various TVR people including LE.
Am pondering next steps. Anyone have a phone number for TVR Electric Vehicles Limited?

Setting aside the obvious response, you’re the first to say it hasn’t been returned.Emailed TVR to cancel my deposit in early Dec 2024. Was told it would take 4-6 weeks to receive the £5K refund. Since then… precisely nothing, despite many chase emails to various TVR people including LE.

This seems to suggest that TVR is one step further towards being finally wound down. Will make contact and report back here.
