If I was Les I d sell the name to a Chinese EV producer albeit I can t see that happening. The brand has never been well known outside of the UK and there are no other assets beyond the brand name and its heritage . Surely it s just not worth much to the likes of SAIC. They have made MG into a massive EV mid sized cheapish mainly SUV brand. What would they do with TVR. They aren t going to sell 10 s of thousands for TVR badged EV sports cars.
And no one can make a volume petrol engined sports car business profitable. They can t make the old models. No one s going to pay good money for a singer style restomod TVR.
TVR does live on though, in the old cars that many of us own.
THANK GOD YOU ARE NOT LES smile

The Chinese are sure to see value in the fact that TVR won at Le Mans shortly after introducing the new Griffith.

The general public that the Chinese sell boat loads of EVs to could not give a monkies about that dim and distant matter, its a dead selling point to justify the outlay.

Chinese buyout is the answer.
What value does it have to them?
The name. It s the one thing Chinese companies generally don t have. History.
But the vast majority of the car buying public don’t give a stuff about TVR and many of them under 40 will not have a great deal of knowledge about them. Not the same as the Lotus name and Volvo etc and the Chinese don’t need old names to sell anymore. They are selling plenty of build your dreams, Jaecoo etc without that. It’s only really on pages like this where TVR has any value at all

TVR won at Le Mans??? Really??? Need to get to Specsavers as I clearly missed that. Rebellion were an already successful racing team but putting a couple of TVR stickers on their car must have made all the difference. Well, if the Chinese or any other nation were interested and did their due diligence they would see how short lived Rebellion then became, folding shortly afterwards and the remains picked up by Peugeot Racing. It was all marketing hype and a big jolly that achieved nothing. 'Nothing' - a word that sums up 'new' TVR.

I thought it was Americans who didn't "get" irony. Have we now imported another unwelcome characteristic from the US?

TVR won at Le Mans. confused

Are you referring to the Rebellion Racing R13, Oreca LMP1 car, with TVR stickers ?

Great irony.

Les believes TVR won.
He also believes the word gullible no longer appears in the Oxford English Dictionary.

So after a few years of silence Marcos are testing 3 different models at prototype stage. This is out of a motor group just south of Salisbury. They were obviously impressed by the demand for the new TVR.

Just a few of the 100-150 chilli plants I have... every seed grew.

I have about 100 more in a hanging basket, which just had seeds thrown on for a fun experiment. Going to leave them to see what happens

I collected all the seeds from one plant last year and the seeds from one supermarket pepper - which turns out to be a lot, especially when they all grow.

I've plants in the poly jungle, plants in the garden, plants in pots.
Even the hanging basket, where not knowing what to do i threw remaining seeds in, as I'd run out of seed trays by then

I'm just going to leave them.

I've lost track on what's chilli's, what's peppers

Oh and I've given about 20 large pots away
