Sorry, that wasn’t clear. Who is selling the Tuscans - Email us at info@tvr101.co.uk or call Woody on 01420 23603 to discuss.

So who is ‘Woody’?

It's the owner of TVR101 ... it's one of the unfinished cars when TVR went into Administration ... they keep appearing ... went to MULTIPART Crick for storage then when the fees weren't paid got sold off all over the place and have been reappearing for the last 20 years smile

question...

just came across this Jaguar XK from 1956 and spotted those air inlet things on the sides, ala some old TVR Griffiths have, they are closed in the jag pictures.

Did TVR 'borrowed those? or at least that idea from Jaguar?

just wondering.

Would I be assuming correctly that most of the deposit-holders have claimed theirs back?

Or... they all became shareholders in TVR through that money, and can now choose a different management team that will actually do something, or decide to sell TVR for what it still is to someone or a group of people who will do something with it, something positive for the TVR brand.

just wishing a bit..

Alvis had them in the forties and PW had a few Alvis cars at the factory.

One way of demonstrating activity legally is taking deposits. This protects the TVR ip for as long as possible.

Bottom of the page: “© 2024 TVR Electric Vehicles Limited”. So haven’t been updated lately…

I wonder when they last took a deposit?

How does that work? If you have no evidence of receiving new deposits then surely it’s irrelevant what their website says.

One way of demonstrating wrongful trading when the compnay goes into liquidation, is for a company to take money for a product that they know they cannot supply.

What’s the impact of wrongful trading? Is it fraud?

That would be fraudulent trading. Wrongful could become fraudulent though.

Consequences of wrongful are that you could be banned from being a company director and that the company could lose its limited liablity status so that the directors are personally responsible for the debts.

There was someone on the TVR club forum asking if anyone in the club had a contact so he could get his deposit back. He was struggling

"I have tried every email address/contact number i can find to request my deposit be refunded now after a ten year wait. After two months I've not had any responses, has anyone else been able to make contact or indeed received a refund?"

I though all would have been returned by now

Woody is well known. Looks after a number of TVR's from Hampshire etc.

I was told that the dealers all had to buy a number of deposits each but they are not refundable.
