I think there's still a possibility to run a parts, servicing, restoation company that produces a tiny number of cars. You'd have to buy the company without anydebt though.

What's happened to all of the parts that the factory used to have? I vaguely remember that they were shipped off to another company.
How would that proposed model work? It would be a pretty small business.

If someone buys TVR are they likely to produce the Griff or some plastic EV toy?

.
As competitors have found, no-one wants an EV performance car.

There are plenty of EV performance cars being sold. There aren't any EV sports cars to buy.

Yes, small but it's kept Red Triangle going for 60 years.

Looking on Facebook it seems there are a few who are still trying to get back deposits, anyone on here?

At this point it may be best to club together and find a solicitor.

Is there any money left to pay back deposits? The accounts have recently been filed.

Why has anyone left there deposit? It has been obvious for years now that the car isn't going into a production, because there are no funds to do so - the accounts have said that for the last few years.

Not everyone watches companies house. I'm surprised but given the company is still actively taking deposits its slightly understandable. They've recently changed their addresses to a unit in Worthing, deposits/security for those don't come for free. I think the chances of getting funds back is pretty slim now but slightly better if those waiting joined forces - I think there is a duty for TVRCC to cover at least the initial legal fees (they've been an accessory to this, and have hundreds of thousands in the bank)

There is no way the TVRCC are involved in this. How can you say that they are? (I have nothing to do with the TVRCC and have never been a member of it either)

The address could just be an accommodation address, or that of their solicitors or accountants. They claimed to be previously based at Thruxton, but there was no sign of them that I ever saw.

Not sure you can say NO INVOLVEMENT ... A 50% discount was offered if you had TVRCC membership.... The TVRCC have maintained a relationship with TVR NewCo and until recently published their Advert in SPRINT .... I don't remember the TVRCC saying refuse the discount hehe
PS In fact the TVRCC have at least one TVR Liaison position.

Oh .. Diddlysquat99 ... aka Lucy P has left kindergarten again ... stupid me

Plenty of places offer a discount if you quote a certain code from their website. No way does that mean they are responsible.

No one is going to buy TVR as a going concern. Have you seen the size of the debts? The Chinese might buy the name from a future liquidator, but nothing else.

No one is going to produce the Griffith. The protoype is far too old now to do anything with.

I don't think the Cyberster is a good example. How many have you seen on the road? They start at £55K, yet there are a selection of cars that are hardly a year old, with under 1k on the clock for under £45K.

There are still some TVR company names where the accounts are overdue and have not been submitted to Companies House. Admittedly, for the most part they are dormant such as TVR Parts, TVR Finance (no, not a little joke) TVR Racing.

Recently Heritage Farms, Mr Edgar's business, appointed a receiver/manager on the 2nd June 25 but today that has been removed. Worth noting that this business has 4 outstanding loans, one of which is from 2016, one from 2017, one from 2018 and one that is dated the very same day TVR got their Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan (CBILS).

One of the loans was by Coutts & Co in 2017. The receiver/manager was appointed on the 2nd June. The loan was repaid in full on the 18th June.

With loan repayments now going back 9 years, the return of the deposits may be a little late..........
