No talk of a merger in the statement ... A new owner as I read itWell, it wouldn't be TVR if there was no drama.

THRILL of DANGER! TVR Sagaris (2006) - 400 HP, 1078 kg and NO DRIVING AIDS!
Today at a glance: a 2006 TVR Sagaris with a 4 liter in-line six-cylinder and 400 HP but without driving aids. No ABS, no airbags...just don't crash. You can see in the video why it is still, or perhaps precisely because of, a dream car.
Its in Germany, but I guess you can change the language if you want.

There's been some movement concerning the 'merger'/'takeover' by Charge Cars that was mentioned in TVR's accounts and expected to complete in early 2026.
The chairman of the other lot, Mr Paul Abercrombie, has been appointed a director of TVR Electric Vehicles and TVR Automotive along with Mr Christopher Devane.
At the same time, Ensorcia are no longer 'a person with significant control' and that has now passed to Charge Holdings.
Of course, this is the same process that put Ensorcia in charge with all the fanfare at that time.

Iain I lost the plot some time ago and kinda gave up what do peeps think about the future of TVR, where is it going, what are its aims and values?
I think that eventually, within five years, the TVR name will resurface and operate on a small scale. For example, by restoring existing TVR models and restomodding existing ones.
Furthermore, small numbers of new TVR models will eventually be released, in such small quantities that expensive testing or similar won't be necessary; rather, individual inspections will suffice.
Hopefully, the TVR name will endure, not only with what was, but also with what they will do in the future.

Most parts are still available for the Rover-engined cars but there'd need to be a lot of expense to resto mod any of the 'T' cars. I can't see them being desirable enough for enough customers to shell out what would be needed. A few maybe, but not enough for a business.
I guess it would be more of a side work, say next to the garage jobs to start with, or to come back to.also, stay smal-ish.

Well, the new company is led by a chap who made his money in top end real estate. He has put together a group of people with automotive experience and he bought Charge Cars (electrifying an old Mustang) which had gone bust. His aim, according to their website, is to acquire brands and re-launch them presumably with electric drivetrains. I think TVR died 20 years ago and will never be the same again.

I don't own an electric car and have never driven one.
But now the range is getting to be further than I can drive in one day, and if someone else was paying for it, then I wouldn't turn one down.
Once the used values for EVs with good range and decent life left in the battery get down to the same price as similar aged petrol and diesel cars, again I don't think I would turn one down.
My 1990s TVR is probably worth £7-10k. So my fun car budget would have to be similar, and I cannot see that happening any time soon.
I was never in the market for a £100,000 Griffith, and am not in the market for a Taycan or similar now.
Still, it's good to remember the fun I had over the 13 years since 2012, ie 6 years after TVR died, and the great people I met.
But any new TVR would be for a different generation.
I am from the generation, aged 9, that tobogganed every evening for three months in the winter of 1963, with no need for parents in sight.

Yet another member of Charge Cars is now a director of TVR Automotive and TVR Electric vehicles, Mr Steven Macmanus, resident in the USA.
So there are 10 directors of Electric Vehicles and 9 directing TVR Automotive. They'll need to double the floor space for the boardroom.
Now that Charge Holdings are the majority owner, I guess Mr Abercrombie assumes the chairman title or is Edgar going to hang on?

It's probably all just company name juggling, I can't see a product coming from this, unfortunately.
