Could include double the brake horse power and still in production.
And potentially with higher mpg.I can understand the hesitation when replacing a Speed Six with a LS, two engines with different philosophies.
I'm not in this situation, however, if I had a S6 with potentially large bills planned, I would be reluctant but it may be the most sensible choice.
But, replacing an old US pushrod V8 with a modern US pushrod V8 doesn't seem like heresy.

yeah, would love such for a Griffith.although they could use all the underpinnings and plant a same size wheelbases older body on it, like some Vixen etc.
-- Chimaera = 4015mm & 2286mm
-- Griffith = 3900mm & 2286mm
-- V8S = 3957mm & 2286mm
-- S2 = 3957mm & 2286mm
-- S = 3962mm & 2286mm
-- Taimar Tur= 4013mm & 2286mm
-- 3000M = 4013mm & 2286mm
-- Taimar = 4013mm & 2286mm
-- 2500M = 3912mm & 2286mm
-- 1600M = 3940mm & 2286mm
-- 1300 S4 = 3683mm & 2286mm
-- Vixen S3 = 3683mm & 2286mm
-- Vixen S2 = 3683mm & 2286mm
-- Tuscan V6 = 3683mm & 2286mm
-- Tuscan V8 = 3886mm & 2286mm
all those use the same wheelbase if my old notes are correct
so you could make a great Vixen or Tuscan-ish with better underpinnings etc.

Retropower are using the Sportmotive chassis under a Scimitar build I believe

Ford V8 with carburetors and air filter can fit under a Griffith or Tuscan bonnet, so a fuel injected RV8 doesn't seem impossible. And the Triumph inline 6 with 3 webers as seen under some Vixen bonnets is a big lump too.The width of the chassis could be more an issue, would it require wider wheel arches, reduced outriggers, different fuel tank? Or the body and windscreen needs to be enlarged (which would also make the pedal box more roomy and avoid to have the clutch pedal aligned with the steering column).
What about the gearbox and its lever? It's already a weird stuff on those old TVRs, putting it further back would be very annoying.

Fastest thing you’re ever likely to drive. What a thing that is. Without spending two years in a gym you’re not likely to be ready to drive that thing to its potential. That’s a full on hyper race machine alright
So they want to set new parameters and it looks like they have.
To bring us all back down to earth a little, silly question, does it have a windscreen wiper?
It looks fantastic and nothing much more than a big go cart in size which is half its beauty.
But what an extreme thing and concept.
If you’ve ever been in a GT40 or similar enclosed built for purpose tiny race car you’ ll soon agree the heat and claustrophobic tiny space is not a place you can exist in for any extended period of time.
So who will buy it and how will they use it?
A race series is always a good way to go where both customer cars and race team owned cars can compete in the same formula, gaining engineering mileage and hopefully a huge amount of publicity as clearly it’s as fast as a fast thing. It’s a pure race car so who’s going to buy it unless they can race it.
I think it’s brilliant and if I could own one that’s what I’d be doing with it. Bravo.

When I were a lad I had the extreme privilege of sitting in the black gt40 that won Le Mans. Think I was 17 I say privilege but truth is I didn t get caught.
Haha, I know where the original Lola which was the mule car for the first GT40 is kept, and for your information it’s under lock and key and a very sophisticated alarm system so dismiss any ideas of sitting in that bugger.
