Hopefully this will work
New battery
And remote 120a relay to switch the car feed off
Alternator and starter will be kept connected as will the charger
Hopefully no more flat batteries

Nice, just don't accidentally hit the off button whilst out for a drive! hehe

Where did you get the terminal posts from?

Few years ago, my wife and I took the Chimaera for a short trip to a restaurant about 30 miles away.
The car was still running when my wife jumped into.
Everything went fine until we took a small portion of motorway, the engine was cutting above 60 mph.
Ok, this is a TVR, something is going wrong, but, we can go a bit slower to the restaurant.
Few miles after, someone thumb up the Chimaera, I want to thank him by doing an high beam flash and doing this, again the engine was cutting.
Once at the restaurant, as something was definitely going wrong with the electricity, I decided to use the circuit breaker and surprise, it was already open. My wife when she climbed (yes she is short, she climb in a TVR :-)), she disconnected the breaker with her knee.
So, you can hit the off button accidentally, this is just not good for the alternator...

If the remote gets pressed when moving

It won't stop if you've wired in a circuit to keep power on with a run relay

I put my battery in the boot and just a basic red key style isolator next to it so that if I'm working on the car or leaving it for a long time I can switch it off. I must have not completely turned it on one day as the car completely turned itself off whilst I was driving, no hazards, lights and couldn't open the boot quickly to turn it back on again. That was 10 minutes of cursing my stupidity at the side of the road hehe

Just remember a power disconnect resets the ecu, it will require a few minutes of re learn on start up so some rough running may be experienced.
I just kept a conditioner on timer and never experienced any issues.

You've got me thinking.........

Would it be good to add a run relay circuit that bypasses immobilisers and master switches? No more engine cutting out due to faulty immobiliser or whatever problems when giving it 250 klicks down the outside lane

Good old mechanical Dis-Carnect suits me for the long layups. Interestingly since I ditched the 14CUX and Foxguard alarm I can go several weeks even with out the trickle charger. Battery remains charged.
