Many thanks all, for the information and links.

Loving those battery cages - any advice there?

Thanks!

It being that part of the battery is inset into the recess, and I assume the holder is made to the dimensions of the battery - how much excess space is there, once fitted?

Does the battery move about? Our did you fill the gap somehow, or modify the holder in any way?

And how did you secure the holder? If nut/washer/bolt, how did you get behind the recess bulkhead? And how did you secure the far-side component so it doesn't spin when undoing?

Apologies for all the questions!

In my case the battery is very secure , tight fit . The cubby hole needed the corners removed and re - fibreglassed but only slightly ... and bobbins fibreglassed in place to take the bolts .
On the passenger side the original TVR fuse box fitted nicely.
In my opinion if you move the battery , you need to relocate the fusebox and ECU to clear the passenger footwell.

I just have the ideas , when it comes to doing it , I use someone who knows what he is doing to do it ...... Heath Briggs @XWorks

I moved my battery to the boot, left the fusebox where it was and tucked the ECU above the glovebox flap in a plastic bag in case of any leaks.

I fitted a Demon Tweeks passenger foot rest in the footwell as the passenger needs something to brace on or they feel very uncomfortable being thrown around during spirited driving.

I have 2 X FullRiver batteries on top of the fuel tank (next to my electric aircon in the sparewheel well).
I didn't want them easy to see (and perhaps nicked) in the cabin when the top was down)

You could also fit a smaller battery (but similar power) in the footwell. The green line is where the battery box originally went. The blue frame is 3d printed with 2 threaded bars through the floor.
