I wouldnt mind hearing from any previous owners of my Griff 500 a 93pre serp i bought it from David hendry just outside Bristol 3 yrs ago i already know the first owner he lives not far from me amazingly enough. Its current Reg is L722XHY but i would suspect its had a few different reg nos and owners since 93 .

1991 TVR S3 in Jaguar midnight blue reg H73 ETL part exchanged to HHC for Chimaera in 1994.

1994 Chimaera 4 litre HC L513 PNU in Silverstone part exchanged for Tuscan in 2000.I know James Agger sold this car at least twice!!

I am not 100% positive, but I believe I saw the 400SE H11JMJ at Cortonwood near Barnsley a couple of weeks ago. Pedro has a similar car begining with H and at first I thought it was his, that's why it rings a bell.

I don't know how I'd find my first TVR, an Azurite Blue '96 Griffith 500. I registered it new on a cherished plate and took the plate off when I sold it. It was on an "N" plate when I last saw it, on the TVR Centre's forecourt when I picked my first Cerbera up in 1998. Can't be many in Azurite (a Mercedes colour) - maybe that might help locate it? It was manual rack, magnolia leather, blue carpets, big Alpine V12 amp in the boot and white-coned 6x9 speakers in the rear bulkhead.

The only other TVR I've sold was my black 2001 Red Rose Tuscan which a pop star bought (and I believe he still has it).

My previous :

1992 Griffith 4.3 Silverstone metallic over ocean green hide and 5-spokes. J976LMLT.
1994 Chimaera 5.0 (lightly modified) Mica blue over magnolia and blue. M2ADY.
1997 Cerbera 4.2 Silvertone metallic over black and grey hide. R??? FGO (seen if for sale twice on here).

The Griff' was an absolute monster and way quicker than any 5.0litre Griff's I drove. Lovely car, shame the garage couldn't sort out the ECU problems that made it a bit of a pig to drive around town. I'd have it back tomorrow but it would be a difficult call with the Cerbera which was a scorcher too!

Great idea. This may help a little; anyone can access the DVLA site that will give a small amount of info which can help. For example, one of mine appears to have changed engine capacity, the other two don't appear so I assume thet may have passed away. Any info you can find would be interesting:

1600M RUK 562L Bright yellow, originally a kit I think
3000M TVR 91 Bright yellow
3000M OAD 831M Maroon, chromed engine

All owned by me in the mid-late 70s. I'd have thought that at least the plate of TVR 91 would survive somewhere...

Cheers, Dave

I used to own a red Grantura Mk 1, reg 230 SPE. I made enquiries on the TVRCC site and apparently it went to Switzerland and but came back again but that is all their archivist could tell me.

Anyone out there know anything?

My old Griff' (J976MLT) isn't listed according to the DVLA so hopefully it's on a private plate - there can't be many 1992 4.3 Griffiths in silver with full green hide around. It was sold out of TVR Centre, Redhill in 1995/6.

Mica Blue '92 Griff 400 Reg J842 LPO (with 500 nosecone/lights), went off to the Southampton area IIRC. Are you out there son?

Cant remember the reg on my old 350i, so will have to dig out some photos.
OK, my old 350i was white with red leather. Original reg E740 WSB. Was traded in to Fernies when I got the Griff.

Anyone seen it/got it? smile

Fubar, your car was first registered 1/10/87, is currently taxed and therefore still alive. Oh, and it's still white.
