I think we were just messing about smile

Fascinating to look at the streets, only heard they had done the whole country today. Luckily our place is back from the road so can't see out house. When it was only in some places I thought it was quite cool, now I can see in to friends and relatives windows i find it all a bit disconcerting.

aye, lukily ours was shot last may (I can tell as I went paintballing for the weekend and the golf is full of stuff).

I dont think I would be happy if the tuscan was outside it makes car theives lives that little bit easier. Bit like online shopping.

Not going to post a pic, but there is a blue Chim close to me that is on streetview, the weird thing is, I've never actually seen the car when I've driven past!

Mine is on streetview, they must have been on our street whilst my garage roof was being replaced, normally it's tucked
up if it's not being used.

ETA I've put a request in to have it removed it'll be interesting to see if they actually do

Wonder what the legal implications would be if it ever got stolen from your address. If its locked up in a garage and say the suspect confesses and used googlemaps?

We never asked for them to take the photos nor signed any paperwork saying that they could be used etc etc

Out of interest why are you asking them to take it off?

Hmm, on Google maps there are 2 red TVRs on my drive meaning it's 5-3 years old, in street view it changes to a more modern picture.

But whose is the the other car on my drive while I appear to be out.....

hehe

Let us know what happens. In the same boat and am not happy with it. Tossing the coin here to decide whether to do it.

Noticed mine on there the other day.
Not too happy about it to be honest but at least they don't show the registration.

Presumably you guys that aren't happy with having your cars on Streetview are worried that car thieves are using it to find cars to nick?

Do you really think that they will do that, and rely on the car in question still being in the same place x months after the picture was taken, rather than drive around looking for cars? Or going to car shows and following people home, or following cars home from specialist garages or any number of other more efficient ways of finding cars to nick?

Do you ask everyone who drives down your street and sees your car to instantly forget they saw it as well?

Bit new at this street imagery thing in the UK and I think not enough data to prove tea leaves will not use it. It has only just been released and whilst there is no problem with people driving around, my street is ultimately a cul de sac, so not much through traffic. I am not happy with the car on the drive in the image. Happy with the house, just not the car. Seeing as the trend is to break in and nick the keys for cars today is part of why I am not happy.

So, until a good few years have elapsed with some data on thievery, no one can say what will happen. I would have thought?
