Cocooned inside its chrysalis, the AJP8 waited for Spring to arrive.

Has Spa got a motor home parking area away from the track? I got read the riot act at Cadwell Park on my first ever track day. As I couldn't leave the dogs at home (wife was away), I had them in the back of my trailer tow car.....

Generally in the UK no dogs allowed on circuits. At Spa no problem but must be kept on a lead when out and about. We are in the middle pits usually half way down the hill. It is packed with motorhomes and vans with over a 1000 cars racing over the weekend, no separate parking outside of the pits at the Blanchimont entrance.

I can never understand why people leave events so early, I can sympathise people having commitments, travelling etc, but it does look like nearly all the cars have left? looks like a fabulous day too.

1. There's only so much "tyre kicking" you can do.

2. To get a good run home while the sun's still shining smile

My dear wife came with me. She handled three hours pretty well, but was grateful to depart when we did. I had a great time, but was mindful that she has agreed to do a TVR weekend in the land of kilt and haggis in early June, so I decided not to push it.

There was still plenty of cars around, just not near my patch. I noticed people leaving well before lunchtime, each to their own. I suppose they enjoy more the drive to and from and as you say they probably might not have a full day's pass because of family commitments etc.

I really enjoyed it and it was my 3rd visit,my only downfall was I never got to have a good look around the cars other than on the timeline because I just kept bumping into people and conversation just flowed. And of course the weather really was a bonus to make it a great day, previous years has been a bit breezy and cold and the cars covered in dust.

Best not too push your luck QBee biggrin
