Whats the tarmac like? Is it "very used runway" or "race track" grade?

Just asking as I don't know whether to say good bye to this set of tyres now and get new ones before VMAX or use up the remaining tread whilst there.
Got a 200mile drive home though.

It's "very used runway". Not sure how much difference it will make to tyre wear though. Vmax isn't especially hard on tyres, at least as not as hard as it is on the engine and brakes.

Thanks. I'll keep the old ones then and concentrate on getting the engine running properly. Its well out of tune now, even pinking on 99 octane (Shell's Italian version of Optimax).

I was thinking I'll definitly be last on the top speed list but I'll be top of one list....first to breakdown!

Craig... you'll hate me, but I have to cry off. Sold fast car, bought slow car with nasty 155 limiter that I won't have disabled in time to stretch it's legs... plus, I just auto-routed and it's a 780 mile round trip.

Having driven 800 miles in the past 24 hours, I'm not sure I could do that to go driving!

Have fun guys.

Point 1: Waaah. Why'd you do it?

Point 2: Slow? SLOW? (This is the RS6, right?)

Many 155 limited cars can be fooled by leaving the car in whatever gear is NOT top gear (e.g. 4th/5th) until you pass 155, then change up

Steve,

Sorry to hear you won't be there. I'd offer you a bed, but sadly....

1) Its already taken.
2) By a lady.
3) You're married.

Next time, we'll see what we can do. Hopefully then you'll have cracked that blasted 155 thingumajig.

Excellent, you've taken delivery. Not much room in that engine bay.

Looking forward to seeing it fly.
