Ive reworked the front mount's so there's more strenght around them.
Engine has been removed again to have the 2 helicoil's (outer Head Stud's)done which needed the engine stripped down as the block needed to be Alloy welded around the outer head stud's.

Floor is being beefed up round the gearbox mount area as well.

Then it's slowly put her back together after sourcing some more part's.

BUGGER....................

My words where a bit stronger than than.

Still time to move on as they say.
Need another project but no so insane (Hayabusa Turbo?).

All relisted now as some Muppet had hack into my Ebay account and stuck a Buy It Now on the listing's.

Meanwhile ..... Here in New Zealand .....

There is a TR7 with a 1UZ-FE transplant (4.0L V8 DOHC Toyota, about 300bhp - more easily available with upgrades.)
There is a Stag with a 1UZ-FE transplant.
There is a 2500 with a 1UZ-FE transplant.

and just so as not to be boring

There is a 2500 with a RV8 3.9 transplant.

The Toyota V8 is (relatively) quite cheap here, complete with Auto trans and loom etc they come in at around 2 grand (1000 quid give or take) and have a fantastic reputation.

And there WERE actually a few TR7 Sprints made by the factory, don't know if they were sold or just experiments...

Just sayin' - there are a good few modern alternatives, some cheaper than others...depending on where you live...so don't limit yourself to one particular engine, unless it's sat on the concrete floor of your shed/garage.

in the states there were/are a few Stags with Buick V6 engines (3.8 from about 170bhp upwards....) which are used as Holden engines in Australia...

Are these just ones you've heard of or ones you know of? Looking at doing the same swap here in the UK so would be good get in contact with someone who owns the t-shirt.

The TR7 has a couple of youtube videos, as does the 2500 RV8.
I saw the others on the web, the TR7 was for sale on Trade Me (local Ebay equivalent) a few months ago.
So don't have contact details but I know they do exist....

Can't remember if the Stag was actually in the USA now I think about it, but on web anyway.

By all web accounts I've read, anywhere a Rover V8 will go a 1UZ-FE will go....

Well after some 12/13 years the Sprint is finally back in my ownership,
Sadly not getting the powerful V8 from the TVR Cerebra anymore.
But the Rotary Engine from a Mazda RX8
Complete with a supercharger from a XJR Jaguar.
