When did you own it? A check on the DVLA website says that it hasn't been taxed since July 1988....so it doesn't look too promising I'm afraid.

Thats a shame i owned it from 1982 to 1985 i was hoping it would still be around as it was one of 200 special edition models.

Tis a shame indeed, looks like it got scrapped/broken/crashed not long after you and it parted company. What was it like to drive when relatively new? I've got a 1980 FHC 'Premium' special edition (one of 400 I understand) which I bought in 2001, and has been off the road since 2004! It had been changed around quite a bit (red check interior rather than original tan; lost its front fogs and alloys) prior to my ownership so I've not been too bothered with originality. Now has uprated suspension, wheels, brakes, Dolly Sprint engine...and will be back on the road this year. Hopefully!

If any past owners of MHJ 744V remember it, drop me a line....

during the winter a bag of cement in the boot was required to get traction. It was not the most powerful machine but did handle well and was quite quick if you did not kick the back out to much
