Paint gone pink, water got under tape?

Hi guys

I've had bike/helicopter clear tape over the car and have now removed it.

I've noticed marks similar to these (my picture didn't come out well) - athough much smaller area.



Any ideas? I've tried mild polish with no luck, should i try something link Autoglym paint renovator (next level up)?

The surface is smooth (level with the paint next to it), with no sign of chips etc to let water ingress.

From reading around, is it just heavy water build up where water may have sat?

Looks like the water that has got under the tape has acted as a magnifier and sun bleached the paint. Red paint is the worst for fading.

Many years ago I had a similar problem on my Marcos having stored the bonnet out side under polythene sheet its called photo printing caused by sunlight printing through gathered rain water , I managed to remove the marks with Farecla compound and sweat [ hand rubbed ]

As above, a fairly abrasive polish should remove that without too much trouble.

That would achine polish out, doing it by hand would be a shift and a half.
