I ordered a set of Maxxis VS5 after much deliberation over the cost/risk versus a set of Goodyear ASY6 or Continental Sport Contract 7. I received them today and hopefully they will be fitted later if a mobile guy can fit a visit in. They are made in China if that is important to anyone.

Will do.

For information the Maxxis VS5 in 225/40/19 & 255/35/19 will be fitted to a 2010 BMW E92 335i that has just undergone a complete brake and suspension upgrade and is currently running the stock Bridgestone runflats in 225/35/19 and 255/30/19. I'm hoping they make a large improvement!

I too will be interested to hear what happens when a high performance saloon with money spent on suspension & braking upgrades responds to mid-range tyres.

On my commute this morning the Maxxis VS5 were more comfortable and quieter than the Bridgestone runflats. That's a couple of big positives that were expected and that I am relieved have been borne out.
