Personally fine and safe to use probably has reduced grip but nothing you'd notice unless on a track

Not a problem.

Is everyone suddenly looking more closely at tyres all of a sudden?

This is at least the 3rd time this has been asked in the last few weeks.

They appear to be part worn tyres. Have you never seen a part worn tyre before?

Interesting, how can you tell? No, I don't ever buy part worn tyres, this is a new to me car, so wouldn't know...

you can tell a tyre is part worn, because it is no longer new.

When it is new, it is new.. After it is used, it is part worn.

That's a 3yr old Continental that doesn't look like it's had that much use looking at the depth?

You pay good money for Continentals.

You can do 100mph on tyres.

Do you trust them?

Take them back to the garage that you bought them from. They should contact Continental. They shouldn't be cracking at 3yrs old.

Typically decent brands have upto 5yrs on manufacturing defects.

They’d either laugh and say go away, we’ve no idea how they’ve been used and abused, or they’d say ok, here’s £5 towards four new tyres.

You can tell because the part of the tyre that contacts the road is worn. As you'd expect from a tyre that has been used for a while.

Are you serious?

If deep crack's maybe they would take a look
Buts there's virtually nothing there

Sorry tyres and brakes are two things I'm very hot on. Anything where I'm driving at high speed etc.

I never bought the tyres pal, the car is a new to me car, no idea where the tyres came from or when in its life.

Why?

They are not cracking. I see nothing unusual about the tyre in the picture.
