I was driving my 2014 Insignia (2.0cdti) and the service vehicle soon warning flashed up and power seemed reduced for a minute but then went back to normal. I stopped at the next services and when I turned the car back on the service vehicle soon light appeared again but seemed to drive normally. After the 100 mile trip from the service station to home the warning has disappeared and the car is running normally. Any ideas? I've just had loads of work done to the car so dreading the thought of anything else going wrong

It’s telling you there is a problem, instead of showing an engine management light, could be almost anything, best to have the codes read, good luck.

I had this before and the issue was glow plugs but the warning was always there when I started the car until I got it fixed. Will there be any codes to read now that the warning has gone?

Possible I guess. The car has 170k miles and I've never had it happen before. I considered that and drove it for 50 miles or so at 70mph in 4th gear. As I say the service vehicle soon warning is gone now and doesn't appear when you start the car so I'm assuming that means there wouldn't be any codes to read?

Cars should store historic codes which a code reader should be able to access.

You need to go to a garage and get the codes read.

Or buy a cheap code reader on ebay. I bought an Autel one.

It really could be anything, mine did it a couple of times, once was a glow plug, the other was a boost leak,
