I might get slated for saying this, but I reckon the leak is due to that tyre having now been fitted twice and therefore is not as airtight as the other 3.
Provided the rim and tyre are prepared properly it should not make a difference. Living abroad for a few years I used to swap over winter and summer tyres on the same rims. Never had a problem with deflation.

So in theory should a plug completely stop the leak, or is it common for it to still leak somewhat ?

Just asking as each time I get a puncture I cannot keep buying ps5s.

Perhaps next time I get a puncture, ask the garage to double check with some water that the plug is not leaking after it is plugged

As I said . I think the fact the screw didn’t go in completely straight had an impact.

A plug fitted correctly should 100% stop the leak from the hole.

Whether that is the only air leak could be a different matter.

They'll love you asking that!

I've had 2 tyres plugged and both been completely normal afterwards. Sounds like you just got unlucky.

Lol yeah I thought it would be a valid point though seeing as I was driving round on a tyre with a leak for months when it was supposed to be sealed. Had it not been raining I wouldn’t have heard the hissing and most likely still driving on it.
