Hi i am trying to remove the complete hub-bearing assembly from 2018 Suzuki swift without butchering it.
I am hoping i can salvage as many parts as i can of the car as i know it's a low-mileage donor car .

Anyway I have taken all 4 inner retaining bolts off from assembly to the hub and to be honest, I thought it would just pull out with a bit of tapping around the hub, however, it appears to be a bit reluctant to come out..I dont want to start mammering away at it and was wondering if i am missing something as to whether there is a simpler way i am not seeing..Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well for a start the brake shoes etc will need to be removed.

Then it should be a case of warming up the outer casting & tapping/pulling it out like the front ones the other week.

The front ones i left complete and used a sharp chisel round the edges and removed the complete unit ..That was easier than expected
The rear ones (i am told dont need the brakes to be removed in order to take the bearing out.) SAme as the Baleno i was told.
Just thought i.was missing something that maybe a puller could work ..I dont have any heating equipment so that's out of the equation .

In that case you need to ask the same question of them again and either take notes or get them to do it.

It's probably got a machined diameter in the back of it that's a tight fit into the mounting surface.

I expect a few good taps with a copper or other type of soft faced mallet could be needed to release it.

Thanks , I have just removed the brakes to get a clearer view ,it as to pull out as it as the abs sensor..you never know there maybe someone who as had past experience doing this type of bearing as sometimes there is a knack of how to do it ,hence why I ask on here first before I go at like a bull in China shop

Managed to remove the assembly but it also came with the backplate just need to remove the plate now ..Going to use some penertrating oil and let it soak around the rim as it looks like its siezed on..To remove it I put the drum on reverse with the wheel nuts on 5 turns and used it as a slide hammer .

It will just be held with a bit of rust, just a few taps on a sharp chisel at the joint of the hub/backing plate from inside will free it off.
