scratchedVW, halford body repair?
Discussion
wax protects the paint after its on the car, anyttrace of it on the surface before painting will cause all sorts of horrible paint reactions
You should of course be OK because the area should be cleaned properly before painting but IMHO it isn't worth the risk it only takes a microscopic amount to find it's way into the bottom of a scratch and the paint will come off in a month or two
In the pictures you can't tell if it's down to the metal or not, if it is then dab a bit of primer on with a brush. If the scratch is only down to the primer then leave it until you can get someone who knows what they're doing to look at it

i have shown the scratches to some friends and they say that the scratches look worse in the pictures, but in real life they are not that bad looking.
i wont apply any wax, and i will leave the car as it is for the next four weeks. when i get back i will get it fixed. is that ok then guys?

Wax is only an issue if contains silicon.
Silicon is the bugbear of every bodyshop. Silicon particles also drift. If you paint a panel that has a silicon particle on it the basecoat and laquer will not adhere so you get a dimple the size of a pinhead in the paint. Panel degreaser should remove all trace of silicon before painting.
Don't worry too much. If you pointed me at almost any repainted panel I could probably spot a defect, whether it's a laquer run, debris in the base, silicon inclusion or a blend.
They will not cause any long-term problems, infact the paint won't just fall off.
