Has anyone tried or head of a spray on hydrophobic coating for paintwork? I've used a ceramic coating which lased a long time, but wasn't super Hydrophobic, then I tried Dodo Juice wax, which was very hydrophobic but only lasted a few weeks. I also tried Meguires Detailer Spray, which again didn't last long.

Is there anything I'm missing? My car sits out a lot, and I'm looking for something that will remain hydrophobic for some time.

Have you tried Gyeon wetcoat? Easy to apply and very slippery. Doesn't last too long though.

Have a look at the AirGlide stuff. I have it on one of my cars and it is very effective. Manufacturer claims the coating lasts around five-seven years IIRC. About £60 to treat a car.

I use Gtech Crystal serum light and CQUK .

both are hydrophobic.

You can use Gtec EXOv2 or Gyeon Cancoat or similar with either coating to add extra hydrophobic behavior.

Gtechniq EXOv3 for long term superhydrophobicity or Gyeon CanCoat if you don't mind reapplying every month or two.

cheers
