I have a concours classic car but intend on using regularly. The underside is immaculate. Just wondering how I keep this looking good. Obviously regular pressure washing under the wheel arches but how do I get under the car easily. Have seen a karsher attachment that looks good. Any suggestions?

Will spraying detergent underneath wash all grease etc away that is looking after stuff. So it will always be "raw" to oxidising?

Thats a good point but the car is stored in a carcoon which will reduce moisture. just wondering whether a wax should be applied to the underside.

That Karcher Chassis Cleaner has a nozzle that lets you apply their chassis wax

I use one of these on a regular basis:-

https://www.tooled-up.com/karcher-angled-spray-lan...

but also at the start of spring & before winter I get the car as high as possible on axle stands with the wheels off & arch liners out & lay underneath it with the pressure washer. Yes I get wet but also can see every bit that gets done/missed by the angled lance.

There's people who won't take their cars out at the slightest chance of rain and then there's those pressure washing underneath forcing water into places water wouldn't usually get.
Car enthusiasts can be strange folk ☺️

Not if you use it regularly........get the car under-sealed with Dynax clear wax.

Thats a really good point. Going to get some advise on clear underbody rust protection. The chassis has been injected but no other treatment elsewhere. I won't be using either in wet weather, they will be stored in carcoons and will do around 2.5k miles a year each.

forgive my mistake.... but 2.5k and no rain (in the UK ?) is not really "regularly" is it smile

Use Dynax-UC from Bilt&Hamber

yes

I avoid pressure washing, I've seen what it does if it finds a chip/flaw in paint or UB protection. (Or to my patio when used in anger)

Used the Karcher underbody yesterday and what a great product. Very effective.

The problem with even the clear treatments underbody is that they will attract dirt/ dust. I'm going to leave it untreated and just keep it clean and dry. Storing in a carcoon as well so should be ok
