Wrapping car

Right as my car has blisters on the roof I was going to wet sand it down to remove blisters but leave the base and primer on etc just get a smooth finish. Wash it off then wrap it in gloss black as black and red look OK. Now would that be OK to wrap over it like that I'm not fussed what state the paints in I have a friend who wraps cars for a living I just need to buy the material and he will do it I'm assuming the fact I've wet sanded it flat won't matter as it will be covered in a wrap.
