Embossing leather

Might be a daft question but can this be done on existing seats without removing the leather from the seat?

eg you mean adding a grain pattern to the leather of your seats? No, afraid not. Any type of pattern is usually embossed on the leather skins using metal plate with a negative of the pattern in a press and mix of heavy weight & heat dropped on it which needs to be calibrated depending on the the thickness of the hide, the depth of emboss you want etc.
