Just found this section, and am amazed there is a detailing subforum smile Excellent smile

I'm taking delivery of my new car very soon, and am considering having it immediately ceramic coated.

Any recommendations for an applier please?

Any other advice?

I've identified kdskeltec and GTECHNIQ ceramic. Are they good, or is there a better option?

Thanks, another recommendation for KDS smile

Understood regarding correction. Fingers crossed it's good, but let's see.

Has anyone put this on themselves? I was watching the vid for Crystal Serum and it didn't look too difficult.

I had a quote for over £1000 for ceramic protection on a new car. I appreciate it was a 2 day job but still, it won't protect the car from chips and will need redoing in a few years in any event.

I think it makes more economic sense to have the bumper and bonnet repainted if/when it starts to look a bit chipped.

That's excessive. And should also take much longer than 2 days I believe. Should have shopped around.

The paint corection alone could take up to 4 days.

CSL yes, easy and long lasting, ours has been on 18 months, still looks good and has reduced the amount of light scratches we used to get, topped up With C2v3 every month or so as a drying aid.

I used Mike @ Minutia detailing (Croydon). He had the car from new and did need to carry out various stages of polishing mainly because of the dealer washing the car (despite asking them not to).
