Had a diesel pipe split on the car and it has sprayed fuel over the engine. I have cleaned as much as possible with degreaser and a rag and also used electical solvent on the electrical plugs. I cant reach most areas like the center of the V engine as there is no room and so many boxes/bits over the engine.

The car still stinks so just wondering if there are any suggestions, I assume a steam clean would not be a good idea as there are electrics all over the bloody thing.

Car is a CLS 320 Mercedes

in the past I've used Auto Glym TFR+, in a spray bottle neat, spray it everywhere (not too much as it's very strong), leave it sit for a few minutes and then fill a 25 L can with water, use a siphon pump on top of the TFR just to help, next is use an air blower from airline to blow the crap out of it. You might need to give another light hose with water/TFR if there's still a mess there. Key is not to use too much.

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/26c-paraffin-spray... and fill it up with paraffin - I find this works pretty well.
