Hi All

I have recently purchased this polisher https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4645777 Challenge Dual-Action Car Polisher and I wanted advice or steps on how to achieve the polished ultra wet/gloss look I see on cars

I have a MPV metallic blue 9 yrs old but I am becoming more of an enthusiast so wanted to know the steps/products required to get the ultra gloss look

Any advice would be much appreciated and I am on budget so preference is to buy products effective products I can purchase on ebay or amazon

Many Thanks in advance and look forward to posting pictures once complete :-)

Hey Paul,

Going through some of the previous posts will give pointers as to what needs to be done both before polishing your paint and what to do afterwards. Lie yourself, coming at it from an enthusiast/newbie perspective a couple of thinks I have picked up is:-

1. Preparation of you paintwork is Key
2. Correct Technique using the Machine Polisher and allow time for product to work
3. Once you get your paint how you want it, use proper washing methods to minimise any potential damage.

Happy to stand corrected if I am talking rubbish, as there are people on here who are far more knowledgeable than me and will hopefully be able to advise

Take a look at the following, as to using your polisher - "Machine Polishing for Beginners" by Junkman 2000 (He is very wordy, but lots of people recommend his videos as he does it in ‘real time’ so there’s no faking it).

As above, very usefull advice.

I like the 'Forensic Detailing' Channel on YouTube. I've used his videos as guides and got good results.
