Hi

I am well aware of PPF and the self healing properties of it. That's ideally what i would be after.

I have seen PPS (Paint Protection Spray) as offered by Topaz and Lichfield, but honestly, I just don't feel convinced.

Does colour change self healing PPF exist?

There are plenty of wrap companies out there, but i haven't found evidence of a wrap with the qualities as self healing PPF.

Also - roughly how much would a Ferrari 360 cost to wrap?

Grateful for some advice

Thanks
R

Hi R,

I own a company which specialises in PPF, wrap and tint, and also just fully ppf'd my own 360 by coincidence.

My advice totally depends on what colour your car is now and what you want it to be.

Ppf is by far the most superior product from all you have mentioned, but currently only available in clear gloss or satin, so no good if you don't like your current colour or condition of paint.

Wrap is self healing to a degree but not the extent of Ppf, light swirls will come out but that's it.

Now in all honesty, wrap is great for certain cars and looks, but not on some others.

You will never get the depth of Shine on wrap that you get with paint, and gloss colours will always have an orange peel effect. As an example, if a 360 were wrapped gloss red it would look awful up close.

For flip colours and satin finishes, wrap would then be my choice, however neither of these I feel would suit a 360 in most cases.

Regarding pps, i don't get it myself as its a paint job which peels, and just as expensive. I would want to ppf on top of my expensive pps job to protect it, but maybe that's just me.

What I've personally just done, is full RE spray due to me being to busy to ppf my own car in the past and suffered a lot of stone chips, and then complete ppf coverage, she now looks amazing and I can use her without worry :-)

Feel free to get in touch if I can help in any other way, to see results on my own car I'm duncan_autoshine on IG.
