Recommend me an easy use use wax / sealant?
Discussion
I have just got myself a new Clubman Cooper S.
I do a lot of miles but like keeping my car looking it’s best.
On my previous Golf I used Sonax NXT hybrid a couple of times a year and in between used Sonax BSD to top up the protection and beading.
This generally works pretty well and my 3 year old Golf which is night blue still looks pretty good despite its 83,000 miles.
The Clubbie is moonwalk grey so should hide the dirt a little better but I’d still like to make sure it looks it’s best.
I’m time poor and the car gets used everyday in all conditions so ease of use/ durability are more important than the last degree of shine.
Do I stick with Sonax or is there something better?
I’m probably not going to spend on getting a professional ceramic coating so something diy but able to be applied on a drive way please!

I've found Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax to be really good, my car's a darkish grey too, it comes up really well and seems to last a few months before it needs doing again.

If you really are time poor what about one of the spray on rinse off ones, Gyeon wet coat, Autofinesse Aqua coat?
Might just do that. TBF Sonax hybrid isn’t too difficult or time consuming and BSD is so easy to use as a top up.At £5 a go I have also ordered some of that Turtle wax sealant to try too.

I've tried most over the years but keep coming back to Collinite 476 or Sonax Hybrid NPT / BSD the beading off these 3 is insane, easy to use as well.
Is the Collinite 476 just the solid paste version of the 845 insulator wax or is it different ? I've used 845 but not the 476.For ease of use you are not going to beat Megs Hybrid Ceramic, Gyeon Wet Coat or the New Turtle Wax One ( Haven't used this one yet but am hearing good things )
I tend to use Collinite 845 for the Winter months. If applied in October, it will last through the winter to March time when the weather should be improving. The 845 is even easier to use than the 476, which itself is not arduous...
Until now I’ve used Sonax BSD March-September, but these spray on, rinse off type stuff are tempting me, and I will try one when the BSD runs out.

Synthetic polymer spray sealants are a game-changer for those not wanting to spend hours waxing their car, they are a very popular addition to a weekend warriors arsenal of detailing gear.
My current favourite is Stjarnagloss Parla because it's so easy to apply, provides great shine, has really good hydrophobic qualities and lasts 3-5 months.

My bottle of collonite hasn't been touched since I found these kind of products.

Personally I polish and ceramic coat the car once every 12-18 months and use either a top up spray (eg C2v3 / CarPro Reload etc) or a spray on - rinse off solution.
I'm too lazy, gone are the days I spend 3 hours rubbing my tits against the paintwork or 25 hours working on someones car.
If I push on I can wash and dry my car in 1Hr which is plenty long enough for me nowadays.

I've had some good results from This Carbon Collective hybrid, put it on with a snow foam gun, rinse off and your done.

Not a big fan of aqua coat. Find it extremely fussy. They recently updated their application instructions giving more detail on how to use - must have had a ton of complaints
For some reason it clung to glass when I used it (properly) and had residue spots for months that wouldn't shift until used an abrasive glass polish!
Fusso Soft 99, FK1000P. TW spray sealant are very durable will last 8/12 months as a base coat and then top with Gyeon Wet coat every month, its banging Combo and really easy to use.
Megs Hybrid is good, very resistant to chemical, downside is that it really needs shaking otherwise it doesn't work correctly when you get to the bottom of the bottle. also nearly twice the price of wet coat as you can buy it in 4ltr bottles so only works to around £10 per ltr
Both can be applied to wet paint with a damp applicator pad to get more even coverage then pressure rinse off and dry.
Another great one is apply a base sealant, then use Gyeon Bathe + shampoo, put 20ml with water in a snowfoam cannon, cover the car, leave for a few mins then rinse off, and dry. BUT still not as good as wet coat IMO
