Best wax for black
Discussion
Taking delivery of a new car soon, first black car for some years, though I love the colour I don't like looking after it, but have bitten the bullet. I am going clay, polish and wax the car, I will maintain using Gyeon Bathe and Wet Look, but want to apply a good sealant. I am thinking Swisswax, but wondered what others may advise.
Thanks for the responses, my default is Swisswax but like the look of the Blackfire stuff, haven’t come across that before.
My usual process with a new car is Swisswax clay bar, cleaner fluid and then seal with wax, then detailer. My last car was ceramic coated and has retained a great look for 3 years, especially when washed using gyeon products, but I fancy wax this time.

Swissvax wise look at best of show, other waxes if you’re not bothered with durability try Pinnacle Souveran, my other goto looks wax is Definitive Wax Ostendo or Show Edition unfortunately neither of which are available any more.
Sealant wise look into polish angel their master sealant is superb especially topped with rapid wax or high gloss!

Thanks, I probably will go with Swisswax, but interested to know your process. New car, mine would be clay, cleaner and wax, am I right in thinking you would seal after waxing?Sealant wise look into polish angel their master sealant is superb especially topped with rapid wax or high gloss!

I tried their ceramic boost for the first time. It's genuinely brilliant, the paintwork feels amazingly smooth afterward, it beads extremely well and for 8.50 it's really well priced. Am a fan.Gassing Station | Bodywork & Detailing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
