Hi all

I have a silver BMW and want to know which of the polish/waxes I have that I should use.

Yes there are others I could buy but I just want to stick with what I have for now…

I’ve got: Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection
Dodo Juice Diamond White
Turtle Wax Original.

Theoretically I’m guessing the 2 Autoglym products together would be good but I’m hearing the Dodo Juice will also come up good as it’s formulated for light coloured cars. So can I combine any of them? The bodywork is in really good condition, very few if any swirls etc.

I’m a long term fan of SRP and Extra protection polish. It’s easy to apply and polish up. I’ve also used Bilt Hamber’s Doible Speed Wax which is nice and seems to last a good while but can be harder to buff out if you apply too much. I’m sure others will have other opinions and recommendations but I don’t think you should underestimate Autoglym products.

PS Silver cars seem to hide swirls well but the SRP will fill and hide light swirls. I’ve recently used Maguiars Mirror Glaze which was nice to apply and gave a good finish too.

Cheers, I’m not after other recommendations though, just which of what I’ve already got 👍

IIRC correctly you should use Extra Protection polish after applying SRP....

Here you go

“ Extra Gloss Protection is not a polish, so will not remove or improve the appearance of scratchs, swirls or dull paint. If your paint has these problems use Super Resin Polish first followed by Extra Gloss Protection to lock in the shine. ”

Could I put the EGP on after the Dodo Juice?

That I don’t know! I wouldn’t have thought it would do any harm, but I’m not sure if the two products would bond to one another? Perhaps someone else could advise?

Super Resin followed by Extra Gloss.

Put the Dodo wax on one panel after Super Resin and once you've done the rest of the car - fairly sure you'll see no visible difference between it and the adjacent AG panels;)

Cheers,

I’d agree on Srp followed by egp, keep products together that are designed to work.
