Is it a case of "you get what you pay for" with PPF?
Discussion
I'm getting quotes on PPF, probably going to do the full car.
I've had lots quotes from £3k - £5k, all using Xpel Ultimate Plus.
All of the places have good reviews and from what I can tell seem to do the same job.
What should I look out for, is there a difference in fitting standards?
Thanks

If it was me, I'd pop down to their place and see some of their work. If you're happy with it, go with them. It's possible that a cheaper place can do a better job than a more expensive one so you're best off making your own judgements. If you find tonnes of bubbles, trapped dirt and poorly fitted film then go elsewhere.
I presume this is for an Alpine.
Before you go for PPF I'd contact Lichfield about their spray-on coating.
I spent arounf £3k for PPF on an Alpine and was surprised that the ppf didnt always go to the panel edge - it has done its job but is/was more visible than I anticipated. Full front PPF and rear bumper was PPF - the rest was ceramic coated.

Thanks I will look in to it. My main motivation for PPF is because I want to do tracks days and also I live in a city centre with an underground car park so I don't have a place to wash my car (we're not allowed to wash in the car park and it would be a bit of a pain due to lack of space), so I want to be able to just either jet wash it down or take it to just a drive through hand wash and not have to worry.
I had PPF done on my car when new (9 months ago) by the guys in the link below. They do a lot of YT content on what comes through their doors which helped me with my decision to use them.
The link below is their comparison between PPF and PPS - HTH.

BTW - I have no connection with the firm other than doing my car.
