AVA Pressure Washers

Seen these mentioned in a few threads now, so thought it worth starting a thread. I posted in the Karcher warranty thread that my Karcher K5 had went the way of previous Karchers and had shat itself.

Looking at what's available and after watching a few detailers on youtube using Ava pressure washers, I opted for a P60.

Pleased with it so far, but my Karchers were always great to start with too so we'll see how it ages.

So, who's got what and how have you found it?

I am deliberating over one after my most recent and 3rd (technically 4th as 3rd failed 1 month in and was replaced) Karcher died after very mild usage. Started looking at Nilfisk but saw a lot of similar reviews about longevity. The AVA's seem to be a step in quality & features for the most part. P70 Evo is only £40 extra over the P60 but I've seen more mention of the fuse issues on the 70/80 which are running at higher ampage. So will probably stick with the 60 and use the money saved on the P70 to get the patio attachment.

The 20yr warranty did attract me initially but to keep that requires servicing every 5yrs. Have you actually found the service kits for sale? I know they are relatively new in the UK but have been around for a while in Europe.

I did find plenty of spares on the UK Ava store including what look like service kits or first aid kits as Ava call them. What I am missing is a service schedule. It may well say it in the manual actually, I'll dig it out when I get home next week.

AVA Go P40 here. It was £100 over a year ago with something like £50 off and extras. Absolutely fantastic bit of kit. Better built than any Karcher I have ever had. I’ve had 5.

The tools, fittings and connectors are great. A real step up.

I thought similar about the build quality. I particularly like that all the tools have somewhere to be stored on the pressure washer.

I'll report back after I've checked the manual and let you know whether it's detailed in there.

I've had my basic Nilfisk for 16 years now. Still works as expected.

I regularly use it for the cars, van and patio. Its needed new o rings, a new hose and the snow foam lance it came with was terrible. But I consider that reasonable, Karchers seem to last about 5 years max from the threads I have read



Really impressed with it longevity and effectiveness.
