Anyway, i too "Googled" how to diy (destroy it yersel ) a tailgate and started looking at this

I'm still here.
My opinion hasn't changed,trying to paint a boot lid on a Jag with no prior experience and using aerosol cans is a bad idea.
I'm sure there's plenty of YouTube tutorials you can watch to learn how to prep and paint, it's dead easy you know

Couple of B&Qs cheapest brushes & a tin of their own brand exterior gloss (why pay Dulux prices?) & the job'll be a good'un.
