Spotted, in my garage...
Google[bot]'s S4 has found a new home. Apparently a white 928 is just a bit too vanilla for that cat now...!!
Neglected to tell MrsPB until it was safely tucked up in the garage, which went surprisingly well. And even though, over the years, I've amassed a collection of 9 car seats, none fit the rear of a 928, so now I have 11. Kids think its ace.
And so do I

Wait. What? Google[bot]'s S4 has found a new home. Apparently a white 928 is just a bit too vanilla for that cat now...!!

Bot? Has the land yacht tipped you over into one finger steering and (I'm imaging) crushed maroon velour?
It's a cracking car. Love it to bits. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Yeah nah... I hadn't intended to sell but when the Bstard said he had been looking at another 928 I mentioned that I may be open to discussion. The Porsche ticked the classic and performance boxes, the Mazda ticks performance and the Lincoln ticks classic. I guess it was just a good time for us both, and a very bloody pleasant dealing.Bot? The departing weather was the same as the collecting weather - I'm sure you recall that day.
I would love red crushed velour and in fact drove a couple of laps of Eastern Creek in one with that interior recently! No, mine has beige leather cushions on cushions. I am rather taken with it though, and occasionally someone glances in its general direction.
Indeed, a tip o' the hat both ways. Has been a fun few days, and now need another tank of Ultimate - the range of 3rd gear is both epic and epically good fun. Eldest daughter declared this evening, as the car started up in the garage, and the engine catches and comes to life, "That's the sound I like!" Uh-huh.
I saw these a week or so ago when we went out for coffee. The café is in a spot which is frequented by all sorts of interesting stuff - a lot of car clubs use the roads round about for runs.
First off this was parked just up the road. Not unusual to see a Healey, I think they actually make them over here still given the number on the road.
However, then the Delage Club turned up (I think this is possibly their entire membership).
1931 D8S - was exhibited at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance (a quick google told me that)
I like the very subtle LED light bar on the back
Then there was this, not sure of the age or the model with this one
Then this arrived - absolutely stunning. As far as I can tell it is a recreation of the 1936 D6.70 Speciale with a Figoni & Falaschi body (it had that plate on it) although it appears the original car was built to race and competed in Le Mans in 1937 and then had the body removed in 1938. There is an article about it here http://www.supercars.net/blog/1936-delage-d6-70-sp...
I'm constantly amazed by the things you see here that you'd never expect to be in the country.

Who was in the beautiful green S2 Exige with a smiley on today? I was in the silver Defender 90. Gave you a thumbs up in Mosman and was behind you to Bondi Junction. Looked great.
Anyone else go to the Machines & Macchiatos meet at Mosman today? Some nice toys out to play.
A friend of mine has a green S2 Exige with a PH smiley - he's not on PH, just that the former owner was. The Lotus doesn't get out often so must have been important!! I'll ask him about being tailgated by a Defender...Anyone else go to the Machines & Macchiatos meet at Mosman today? Some nice toys out to play.

Ah that's where I saw it...In other news, have just had a gander at CTS - new car at the top of the lottery list - Lister Le Mans - just want it!
As for the Lister - that interior! Imagine having a new pair of jeans wear off on the cream leather! Had a look at it at lunch, but was more interested in getting up close to the XJ220. Stunning car in a stunning colour
