Steve...do you live in Brampton by any chance? If so I wouldn’t mind having a chat with you some time about S1 Exige ownership

I posted on the Elise page but what the hell.

18 months ago when I dragged her out of the garage she had been hiding in for 4 years.

And after a fun year and numerous skinned knuckles this is her now:

Big plans for 2019 involving more power and more track days.

It doesn't get much more retro than that! Great car and great picture.

Not me - and I've had the car since 1987 smile

I think the previous owner + 1 had a front end shunt around 1985 when the change to colour coding came in and replaced the front bumper with a factory colour coded one. At the same time they painted the rear and the mirror surrounds. I had a rear end shunt in 1988 and had the rear bumper replaced with a colour coded one, So although it isn't one of the two 82 MY cars that had colour coding requested from new. it does have colour coded bumpers from the factory thumbup

Interesting. As mentioned, it's looking good! To my eye the "S3" styled Giugiaro cars were the best looking of all Esprits.

If you look at the mirror surround on my car it has been painted white, but on the 85MY cars it should be a black surround - as below.

Which makes me think mine were painted before the 85MY cars had been released when this detail would have been known, but after the info that they were going to be colour coded was known. Although the PO did get the black surround on the door correct.
