Get a Plus Two for fast road use. Go for the big valve engine and the five speed gearbox. You get one of the coolest 2+2 cars around, usable as a daily driver, with one of the most fab instrument panels in all of Sportscarland.

ooo yes. Now I think about it, (must be an age thing) I did once own a Plus Two - a big resto project that sat in the garage for several years untouched until I sold it biggrin I've got a real soft spot for them, so you are right that would be the way to go!

My baby. Have owned it for 35+ years, was one of the last Sprints produced. I have owned most dream cars but always stuck with this one. IMHO the best B road car.

Spent a bit of time recently cleaning up the interior, still a nice place to be for a few hours

If they sell it here, I'd be more than happy to give it a go! I won't knock it till I've tried it, and it appears I'm well on my way to being a blindly loyal Lotus fanboy biggrin

You will recall that Moore as Bond used his Esprit as an SUV with a ski rack on it, on at least one occasion. Any topless Lotus can be used to fetch Christmas trees, and 70s/80s Elites have hatchbacks and can be used to haul trash!

Looks great you can come and do mine. Nice to see one of these with a low key interior, the Lotus guys were definitely partying hard with some of the interior colours.

My new-to-me Sports Racer. Bought unseen during lockdown and just delivered.

Inevitably it needs a few bits doing - the biggest being an issue with the hard top mounting point on the O/S/F - but it is everything I was hoping for from behind the wheel.

It's my first Lotus and one of the last cars on my bucket list after fast forwarding through several Porsches, M-cars and RS meganes in recent years.

Hey that used to be my car! I bought it new! Brilliant little car and had great fun with it. Hope you enjoy it!
