I'm watching the live event on the internet this evening. Should be fun. It'll look much like the Evija and by all accounts a bit bigger than the Evora which I find a bit strange.
Space for a longitudinal engine?
But I think it has a wider track which I'm sure there's a good reason for, but I find my Evora wide enough anyway, so wouldn't want a bigger car!

Something looks odd about that picture on reflection - it's the small wheels and arch overhangs, and the almost deliberate fuzzy/pixelated look.

..could this be a deliberate 'smoke bomb' to put us off the scent I wonder?
I think you massively over estimate Lotus' PR department.
Yep.

If you haven't seen the original - the photos I posted is a crop from a huuuge webcam /security cam image, it's pixelated because it's about 2% of the available image.
It's also a wide angle lens which does the proportion s no favours.

Well this is a cringefest so far and if it goes past 8pm I am switching over to the football and will browse the static shots later.

I don't care. Show me the car, and not under a polythene sheet in the factory.

Yes. Very second rate.

More annoying as a marketer l, I’ve tried to get into lotus marketing so many times.

Heralding a relaunch and handing over to these two and a false presenter who seems to be excited about everything wasn’t the best start

Okay it’s improving a bit now ...

Edit spoke to soon. Jenson Button. ;(

And all the talk is about cupholders, infotainment etc.

Lets face it, its a re-styled Evora, with a load of modern tech (which will be out of date in 5 years) and a bought in power train, which being turbo and auto requires a hole hose of extra hardware, coolers, controllers, particulate filters etc etc.

And a thoroughly dull launch. Why didnt they do this 'live' bit at Goodwood?

I'm out. I'll read the PH article in the morning.

This is ALL over the place. Who signed off the presenters script? “I can get my dogs in, then drive to the track”

Helen the presenter is dreadful.

‘Gamechanger’ ‘best in breed’ - language seems right but there doesn’t seem to be much conviction behind the words

They shouldn’t have done the drive through live - looks decidedly low rent.

Car looks nice to be fair.

Aerodynamicist and stylist pulled it back towards the end - could have listened to them for the last 45 mins

1400kg though - so it’s same weight as a boxster. So... what exactly does lotus stand for?

Nice to see the manual survived. Amazing how much better the wider, vertical lights make it look over the Evora.

The darker car with silver wheels car looks lovely, not keen on the baby blue.
Think I want one.....

I think overall they’ve done a good job on the car.

If the v6 is less than £80k I might be interested.

The amg engine is a big win as well.
