Buying an Exige 410/420/430

Am itching to buy something and looking at cars I can't help thinking that price wise the top end of the Exige market needs to settle a bit.

New 410 sports, 410 anniversary and 420 final editions all in the same price bracket.

Also the consideration on a used 430 cup which is what I initially wanted.

Are any deals to be done on the new 2020 cars?

If anything prices have gone up. The new burnt orange 410 at Castle was up at £78k a couple of months ago and has just reappeared at £83K, possibly a sale falling through. Used ones are shifting quickly, new ones aren’t moving. I would imagine someone who has got £80k plus to spend on a Lotus would want to see what the Emira is like.

I'd been watching the Sport 410 market for a few months, and there seemed to be a big price gap between slightly used 2019 cars and unused 2020 cars.

A lot of the zero mile 2020 cars were(are) £85k+, whereas I found the sweet spot to be low mileage 2019 cars.

I paid £65k for a 2019 car that had done 3300 miles. It has the carbon seats, carbon roof, cruise control, lithium battery and full carpets. So it's a well specified car.

I simply couldn't justify or see the value in paying an extra £20k for a 2020 car, although I appreciate it's nice to be the first owner of a car.

Cars like mine are selling very quickly though. I'd previously called about a couple of cars that had sold almost immediately, and I know for a fact other people were interested in mine.

Same here I got a 2020 2600 mile car for 66k,again great spec,special sample colour,PPF,extra interior trimming,exhaust button etc

I also couldn't see another 20k spend to save on 2500 miles versus delivery miles

I’ve also just bought a delivery miles car for my friend,it was a great deal and noting like the crazy asks of £87k,in fact we ended up nearer mileage priced cars

Must be the vivid green one at Rybrook, great colour. If you got that for under £70k it’s an absolute steal.

Cup430 prices have really firmed up recently with all the FE ones allegedly sold out.

Silverstone Lotus sold 3 almost immediately and managed to get 2 more which sold fast, clearly little discounting was required

The couple of used ones advertised are now well over £80k.

Seems the 410 is more likely to be discounted because of the amount of cars already sold and for sale used.

The 420 looks the sweet spot imo but the Cup is long term the better purchase, although at over £105,000 it’s pretty steep for an Exige

Yes that’s the one

My 2020 Crazy Purple one was well under 70k with 2600 miles on the clock, the Green one wasn’t under 70k but was still a very good deal and a great car. I bought the green one for a friend who is very pleased with it
