Nimbus or magma? Can't decide.
Does anyone have any insight on touring chassis Vs sport? I know it's difficult to predict, but perhaps based on people's experiences with Evora ride quality. Really interested to hear anyone's opinion. I have never driven a lotus...
Have a look at this thread on the Emira forum lots of information provided by TomE reference sports/touring suspension.Nimbus or magma? Can't decide.

Harry’s video here is about as near as you can get right now, he’s on track in a “sport” spec car.

Or wait 2 weeks for the embargo to lift on the press reviews - not long now, lifts on 7th June
Thanks for the link. Interesting watch. Not sure it's helped me either way !! https://youtu.be/TX-n-KK50cE

obviously hard to see with inside lighting, but I felt very deflated by the yellow colour. At least with deferring my order from V6 to i4, l'll get a chance to look at the colours in the flesh. I doubt that I'll go for yellow now though.I’d half given up hoping to hear from Lotus about a delivery but thought I’d look through spam and Gmail updates - ooops, I had an email from them on April 29th saying spec will be nailed down May 6th. I had no idea what spec I’d originally put down so called them - yes it is nailed down and if I wanted any change it would mean ‘a delay’. I didn’t ask what type delay would be because, luckily, what I’d spec’d back whenever is what I would still spec now. (Manual, touring, nimbus grey with black pack but delete privacy, yellow callipers, gloss black wheels, black interior grey stitching). So do keep an eye out!

Thoughts on Privacy glass option.
I've removed it for the Emira, one of the first options I usually tick on my cars.
Starting to have regrets, but the side quarters are tiny and you see the engine cover (i4) more without it.
Never understand privacy glass, since you can’t tint the fronts it just makes cars look weird and imbalanced to my eyes.I've removed it for the Emira, one of the first options I usually tick on my cars.

I also had the call yesterday (but missed it) regarding delivery options, etc. The email they sent doesn't mention any delay, so fingers crossed for September...
Agree regarding an Emira-specific sub forum being needed. There's a lot of content out there in other places and, as has been mentioned, it's only going to get busier next week when the review embargo is lifted.
Www.EmiraForum.com is pretty good if anyone's looking for more content.
Here's a vid of a Seneca car 'in the wild' I found on there:

Are they taking deposits yet on the i4 base edition?
I'm guessing the £59,995 advertised price will actually be at least £63k when you add on number plates, delivery and first year VED (£2k), plus options, which could easily take you to £65-70k?
Yes, I believe so. I put my deposit down last year with the intention of getting a base edition. I'm guessing the £59,995 advertised price will actually be at least £63k when you add on number plates, delivery and first year VED (£2k), plus options, which could easily take you to £65-70k?

The spec and options/costs on the base edition are as yet unknown.I'm guessing the £59,995 advertised price will actually be at least £63k when you add on number plates, delivery and first year VED (£2k), plus options, which could easily take you to £65-70k?

"Price excludes:
Number plates
Delivery
Road fund licence" (£2k)
So I think it's safe to say the base edition will on the road start from about 63k. They might well make metallic paint an option on that model also (perhaps one free colour). So adding on metallic paint and a couple of options, say a wheel option and track pack, and you're looking at 65-70k.
Thats why if you are loading up the base with options you may as well buy the FE it will be relatively cheaper.
Black and white could well be new colours on the base car but noone knows which other options will be available. If you want a base model it will obviously be better keeping it basic thats what it is all about at the price.
