Deposit paid this afternoon. Will be going for the amg engine but no idea on colour yet as it seems to look good in all the colours offered even the ones I don’t usually like! However I would have liked white to be on the option list as always think it’s a colour that really suits lotuses.

Definitely want the black pack & coloured callipers. Not sure if the forged wheels are worth it as car will be used more as a touring set up. As for interior, my heart says alcantara my head says tan leather may be better for keeping clean.

I’m beyond excited by this car & don’t even care that I probably won’t get it until 2023.

Deposit yesterday afternoon via a dealer. First Lotus. AMG Emgine but undecided on colour but Seneca blue or verdant green front runners for now.

Minimal options, thinking black pack can be better done at lower cost with delivery mileage wrap.

How much is the deposit?

I’m really torn. Have been set on Exige for a while was planning on buying a 410 towards the end of next year.

But I really like the look of this. They are different kind of cars though.

Been thinking about putting my name down as my house build should be done by February so I should be able to have it.

Placed my deposit down having watched the Carfection video.

Red with black pack for me.

While I'd love the manual V6 I imagine I'll go down the AMG route depending on the final prices.

Already got a 'buzz' about this and looking forward to the journey.

Having similar thoughts
Looking at it it looks amazing, and will be great to drive, really want one.
... But
As a weekend car - It's not going to be as light / raw / event as the Exige at 300kgs heavier and same engine
As a daily - fantastic if you can live with a two seater daily (I can't)

So the (lucky) challenge is, it's not pure enough to replace an Exige, and too close to an Exige to replace anything else as a weekend experience..

So for the moment no deposit

This is exactly where I am at.

I need to figure out what I actually want to do with it. Ironically it might be my wife who tips the choice.

Test drive an Exige, if you haven't already, amazing cars to drive whilst you are still young enough to get in and out of it wink

I put £500 down with B&C at the beginning of June and paid the £2k direct to Lotus on Wednesday as directed by Jamie.

I'll almost certainly go for the AMG engine, probably in the light grey (which the lady on the stand at FoS said was a metallic silvery grey) or the red if I'm feeling brave!

A question for those that have paid a deposit... have you heard anything back direct from Lotus as of yet?

Just confirmation of being open the priority list with a reference number. Nothing else. B&C will have a car in Autumn to try and I expect to hear everything I need from Jamie.

Ummm... I've not got a ref number from Lotus but the money has been debited from my card... I'll speak to Jamie on Monday - thanks!

Did you get a confirmation email? Should be at the bottom of that.

Yeah you should have a reference which you give to the dealer if you choose to use a dealer. However I don't get why people are paying dealer a deposit also. You have to pay via the Lotus website and in the Autumn when you lock the spec in you can choose to use a dealer if you so wish, but you do not have to.

I think if you just out on weekends and looking for maximum thrill, you can't beat the Exige. I am looking for an all year round car, however something fun as my mileage is minimal, I'm in the sticks (all b-roads), maybe commutes to work once or twice a week which again are all b-road, some euro trips etc.

I'd love the Exige but it won't fit the bill I don't think, the Emira however, I think it does work for me.

Well, if you believe my dealer, his list was submitted to Lotus before the ability to pay a deposit direct to Lotus was available... whether I believe that will make any difference is another question!
