So obviously this was an available conversion and not exclusive to JS.

I'd be interested to know if this is Jimmy Savile's former car.
It is his car, yes. Think it is just a matter of time before the ad is removed though because it's not being publicised at all any more.

As a question, why is Al Capone's or the Kray's car acceptable, but this isn't? I mean, he doesn't seem to have been a perfect character, our Jimmy, but he never killed, sodomised or tortured people, did he?

I'm afraid that the internet is so judgemental, and I am of the old school of "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" brigade. I wonder how many of you who criticize have not one skeleton in the cupboard? I haven't been perfect in my lifetime I'll be the first to admit, although cheating on the ex and "forgetting" some income on my tax return all those years ago don't seem to be of the same calibre, it's true.

Well he might of sodomised someone given his apparant track record. Al Capone wasn't a serial kiddy-fiddler so I suppose is all relative really. Indeed wasn't one of Al Capone's cars auctioned a while ago for not an insignificant sum, seems that being a "gangster" has more kudos.

Still like the Range Rover though

I'm afraid that I disagree with you. Three points:-

- Paedophilia is utterly unacceptable compared with other 'sins'. Are you sure he never sodomised anyone?

- I don't wish to be associated with someone who, by the Police's own submission, was a serial paedophile. Yes, this includes buying his old car.

- I'm not paying £12,995 for a car that cost the vendor £1,500 to buy and which is tainted by a serial paedophile so I may never be able to sell it again. Gross profiteering for which this vendor is known for with Range Rovers.

I was under the impression that the investigation was ongoing. Obviously you have inside information.

I'm in no way defending JS, or anyone else, but the level of sensationalism on this website can match the Daily mail.

BTW why do you have two identities ? Something to hide ?

Weird thing human nature, for me Al Capone and his like have gone down in a 'romanticised history'. The Bonnie and Clyde film from the late 60's/early 70's gave this pair a romantic edge to the story. The brutal assassinations they carried out were also in true Hollywood style of the era. Perhaps it is this that makes it now Socially acceptable to own 'gangsta memorabilia'?
Krays, hmmm much more recent of course and partially fresh in the minds of the living who may recall those days. Perhaps memorabilia from that gang will appreciate in value as time goes by and as such is long term investment potential.
Personally, I would love to own a chunk of Bonnie and Clyde.

No high moral stance here, friend. Would you take the risk on the former car suspected paedophile when you know that the price has been vastly inflated? Not for me. You may be different.

It certainly sold for £1,500, and I wont be losing any sleep about their failing to scalp someone to the tune of £10,000-odd.

Let's put it this way; it's a little bit like wearing second hand trousers v wearing second hand under pants. Most people draw the line at a fairly similar point.

What you are buying here is a mobile bed that once belonged to an odd bloke who molested young girls.

Find me someone who would happily utilise the bed, knowingly, of such a punter and you will have found someone who isn't plumbed in correctly.

However, I'm sure that once Hollywood has made a raft of films glamourising the fingering and fking of vulnerable young girls and we are all wearing T-shirts promoting underage fanny then normal people will view the buying of Jimmy S' mobile bedroom or Gary's underpants in a different light. wink

Now then, Now then, goodness gracious me. Any vehicle's value should be based on condition and history. Sometimes the history adds to the value and sometimes it detracts. Unfair to condemn this poor Range Rover. Its worth something to someone, just maybe not at the price its up for

Valid point. I think this one would be worth more converted back to a car, for example.

Nice...dont forget the most dangerous part of the car is the nut behind the wheel.
