No pic, but I parked my Chimaera next to a Tucson last week. The Chimaera looked like a Scalextric toy!

Great shot. Such a size difference it seems like the perspective is all wrong. Father Ted's cows - which one is big, and which one far away?

There’s something off about that picture, but I can’t quite work out what it is.

Just checked the only dimension larger on the 500 is height (about 10cm taller). The 131 is wider and longer.

That's definitely 'shopped'.

I'll take the 131 and confirm it's bigger than that. Will take me approximately six months, perhaps longer. It is road legal, isn't it?

The blue 500 is a new 131 special edition, there are other pictures of those two cars together. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/motorsport/specia...

These are pictures of a different 500 and 131

Taken last year waiting for a ferry - my large GT car looking like a scale model between a Honda invalid carriage and a gigantic Chelsea tractor.

Even 'back in the day' those were only large on the outside. wink

I went through a period of getting hand-me-down company cars from my boss, who changed his cars on a whim.

I had a 4.0 XJS for a couple of months (before I got his Mercedes SL500) when I was about 23, and it was lovely, but a tad cramped, I seem to recall.

They are quite snug on the inside. I've yet to master the art of thanking another driver for letting me out without hitting the windscreen. As it happens, people seem to love the old Jag so the inside of my glass needs fingerprints cleaned off rather frequently rofl

The jag bonnet line looks to be the same height as the tyre on the tractor in front.

The whole of the XJS is probably below the height which can be seen in the rear view mirror of the tractor, they probably think the Honda is the next car behind them.

I think this is a good shot to show that the dimensions alone don't tell the full story.

Even if the length and width are similar (as suggested above) the modern car has so much extra metal below the window line, and chunky pillars, it seems twice the size.

Interestingly, according to the Google a 131 and a modern 595 both weight similar amounts, around 1000-1100kgs.
