Did you park the Caterham under the F150 when it rained? biggrin
Most of us commented we could drive our cars under US 18-wheelers whilst on the tour! Heading into Las Vegas in the 40C heat, we were conscious of driving beside them, so they would provide shade to (at least) 4 cars!

I think to objectively pass judgement, we’d need to see it next to a modern day Supra.

However, this is something, I never thought I’d say, the 'XJS' looks almost restrained and beautiful.

It's funny how they can make a car that long yet have no real space in the back for people! In that respect the other 2 cars are much better packaged.

True, but then again, they don't have a 5.3 litre V12 in the front smile
The boot is also pretty big with plenty of useable space even with the spare wheel and the battery in there too.

Treated as a 2 seater GT it's pretty good.

Had an 5.3 convertible about 15 years ago. A beautiful car to drive and cost less than £4K at the time.
Sold it to an Italian guy who took it back home. He was king of his village!

Interesting info from that site using the view from the rear :

"Jaguar XJS Coupé 1975 vs. Toyota Supra (A90) 2-door Liftback 2019

Technical specs | Jaguar XJS Coupé 1975 is 6.1 cm narrower and 1.8 cm lower compared to Toyota Supra (A90) 2-door Liftback 2019. It has 2.1 cm more ground clearance and offers 66% more cargo space."

The cars are level at the back.

The range rover is very obviously bigger, but yet again it's another picture where the angle of the shot makes the newer car look bigger than it really is.

It's also a picture of a Range Rover and a TVR.

Yes, a similar aged RR (a P38) would be bigger than the TVR...

And then we could say "...same engine and everything..."

Quite a depressing thread in many ways as starkly illustrates the utter obesity present in modern cars. Would be interesting to put a photo of the owners together too, 1980s or 1990s v 2020s as people have gotten huge too over the same period!! I got out my old autocar btw to compare the EVO6 with the GR Yaris on the previous pages, width difference mirror to mirror is astonishing - yaris is 15 cm wider !! (202 v 187).....

So why have you got a 3 series BMW when you could have got a 1 series BMW?
