If what you say is true I wouldn't have taken the picture.
The Volvo may be longer but that isn't really point of thread is it, the Volvo used to be a large car and the Mini wasn't. It's not as though the Volvo is parked half a mile down the road.

In this picture the Volvo isn't half a mile down the road, but perspective plays a major role. Look at the two minis. The yellow one looks larger than the grey one, but they are the same model.
Correction the grey one is a newer slightly larger one.
