You are correct. The bonnet scoop is not original but looked ‘period correct’ hehe

The M Sport badge in the grille not so much.

It was being occupied by two older ladies, so kudos to them for keeping it so tidy!

It’s a GTL for the record. Sporty hehe same keeper for the last 26 years!

I didn't spot an M badge but the whole grille just looks like it's off a different Renault.

I even looked at Renault 9 on images and couldn't see similar.....confused

It’s a bit of a mish mash. The wheels are from a Clio. Dynamique model from 2003ish I would say.

Looking good in the sunshine, but v tired up close.

Parked up on the other side are a slowly dissolving Interceptor shell and a v untidy Excel - both have been there for years, I hope this one sees a better life.

And the bonnet has apparently been modified to be partly open on the rear edge.

Is that monstrosity in Falmouth?

I think the grille is just generic honeycomb mesh isn't it?

It's also got dodgy Volvo-alike separate indicator/sidelight units too.

I think whoever said that grille was generic honeycomb is right - I can't think of any Renault of the period that had a grille like that. Of course my memory could be wanting ..

The whole front end has been brought forward by about 100mm for whatever reason?

I think you could be right there. The front end looks a touch longer than standard....and the bonnet lid has been moved forward, exposing the scuttle under the windscreen wipers.

Please do! At least there's one Renault 9 still running, even if seems to have been considerably "got at".

I'm guessing wolf in sheep's, bonnet lift at rear is an old trick for airflow out on a hot motor.

V6, V8 ?

Nah, looks like it's all show.

DVLA check shows it as normal 1598cc, taxed till July and Mot till May 2018
